Golf

The golf resort was designed by Dave Thomas Ltd. The challenging course opened for play in 2006 and was designed to test golfers of all abilities with the holes surrounded by natural rough ground.

The Course is very long, so a buggy is highly recommended, and you can expect a round to take you about 4 and a half hours. Buggies can be hired for a very reasonable amount.

From the back tees, the par 72 course measures 6,724 metres, one of the longest courses in Spain. The two nine-hole loops, with two par threes and two par fives, meander through almond and olive orchards, enhanced by several lakes and cascades. Also in operation is the golf academy, which offers lessons and a driving range with 6 full golf holes and two putting greens, providing golfers with the perfect environment to improve their game.

The par four 6th is a demanding hole, and the par four 11th is a highlight, featuring a tricky approach to a raised green. The 18th hole is a fantastic par five with water on the left of the green.

There is a great clubhouse with a Bar, Restaurant, and Shop.

The course is listed in the top 100 golf courses here https://www.top100golfcourses.com/golf-course/hacienda-del-alamo
